How To Make Chilli Potato Recipe At Home

This dish is very easy and simple to make at home.It takes 35 minutes to make properly. This dish is good for snack also. Nowadays potato is like a part a family. Every dishes of potato makes yum in stomach. It is quite smiliar to soya chilly and Manchurian chilly. I love only one thing in this dish is that we can maintain spice as per our need, reference and preferences. Why to waste money at hotels and restaurants if you can make chilli potatoes at home in just 30-35 minutes. I’m sharing a restaurant style chilly potato recipe.

Ingredients to make batter:-
2 potatoes chopped
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp maida
Salt to taste
1/4th tbsp oil
1 tbsp chilly powder
Water (as per your need)
3-4 tbsp oil
3 chopped medium sized onions
3 chopped Capcicum
1 tbsp soya sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup spring onion
1 tbsp Schezwan chutney
2 tbsp vinegar
How to make chilli potato :-
- Take a bowl. Add chopped potatoes. Then add corn flour and maida in it. Mix it toghether. Then add chilly powder and salt in it. Add some amount of water if required. Otherwise don’t add water. Dip potatoes in it.
- Now turn on the gas. Put a pan on it. And add 10-12 tbsp of oil for deep frying. Make sure you are going to fry potato in a medium heated oil. Keep fry them in batches. fry untill they become golden. Take a tissue paper in plate. Place potatoes into a plate.
- After that put a pan. Add 6-7 tbsp of oil. Cut the onions . Add it into oil. Saute them until they become golden or brown. They add 5-6 chopped cloves of ginger. Now add Capcicum and spring onion in it. Saute them well. And mix all the ingredients together.
- Now add 1 tbsp soya sauce,1 tbsp tomato ketchup,2 tbsp red chilly powder,,Salt to taste, 2 tbsp vinegar , 1 tbsp Schezwan chutney. Mix all the sauces toghether. Then add some amount of cornflour slurry. Keep sauting it. Then add fried potatoes. Mix it all together.
Preparation and tips :-
- Wash the potatoes and peel them. Cut them into rectangular shape.
- Cut the onion and Capcicum into square shape.
- Add sauces as per your taste and preferance.
- You can skip chilly powder while making batter.
- Fry potatoes neatly. Potatoes should be crispy.
- Serve it while it is hot. The more the hot chilli potato, the more you can taste it better.
- Instead of using spring onion in gravy you can use it for garnishing.
- Deep frying is the important key for crispy, tasty and delicious potatoes.
- You can cut potatoes in shape as per your preference ( dice or fries). But fries shapes look attractive.
